COVER STATEMENT

My Ambitions

Enthusiastic and driven. Ever since I was young I had a drive to explore and a skill of remembering random scientific facts and questioning everything. I must have annoyed my mother, a woman who is incredibly intelligent, to know have the answer to every question that I had. With this gift of questioning so much, I hope to pursue my research with a standard nothing less than how I questioned everything when I was 5; and now will be able to answer my own questions with the problem solving skill's I've learning since then.

MY PROFESSIONAL PROFILE

Research

There are a large amount of people that want to make a difference in this world, but don't know where to start; quite frankly I didn't know where to start until recently. I was given a talent to understand mathematics and science and, therefore, pursued and engineering career. Not until this past year did I realize that my talents are programming. This talent was found in my lab rotation with Chuan Huang, PhD., and I will continue in his lab to work on Dynamic Contrast Enhanced MRI analysis.

WORK EXPERIENCE

BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERING INTERN, VASOMEDICAL

Under the guidance of Hong Chen, PhD., the chief engineer at Vasomedical, I worked on signal processing ECG signals to develop a software that will identify diseases simply through analysis of Heart Rate Variablity (HRV). The main software used was MATLAB and the Physionet database to test codes out.

PRIVATE TUTOR

I was a private tutor for many high school students throughout my undergraduate career. I was able to efficiently tutor in all types of Mathematics, Physics, Biology and Chemistry.
